Thats when all this started- -onedrive moved all my files to a dir called onedrive and deleted my documents and desktop folders. I dont know if it actually uploaded anything to the cloud and I am not sure how to check. But I was opted out of Onedrive anyway if they saved my files great but I dont know if they did.

You can check if you log into one drive with any other device. I can check on my files with an ipad, iphone, and ofc other computers. You can go through files online too but I haven't touched that. They made android and apple apps for onedrive which makes files more accessible. On windows onedrive will have a little icon which when hovered over will tell you if it's busy uploading, downloading, or if everything is already synced.

hmm I will look into that. Though I have no idea what it would have used for login info as I had opted out and had never signed into it.

Well I signed into onedrive. The most recent file was 2019 so no go. But maybe there will be some old family pics or something like that on there.

What kind of hard drive is it? I might have a spare adapter, but most of the ones I have are very new.

Its not huge deal. These are old internal IDE hdd drives Im not really all that worried about it. We have guys who will copy the data off for about $20. So Like I said I may just have them do it or Ill just start over. And there's no guarantee the drives survived the cpu shorting out and melting. SO its okay- we were still redesigning the art and and the old art was going to have to be redrawn anyways.

:) I was mainly just saying this project was having some delays and here's why.

No problem. Those old drives are hard to repair, especially once they get a certain age.

Yeah they are- and fincky too. SSD are much better when properly configured.

Let me know if you need help setting up Github. It's not too hard, but you have to use the command line.

I use github on my projects- I just didt ever get around to installing the plugin on this project as I was doing concept stuff and when I finally hit a design I would install github. SO I didnt lose my other godot projects they are still on github.

And using linux we have to use the command line all the time :)

You can get a hard drive to usb adapter from Amazon or something.

I have a NAS, might be worth considering for the new apartment perhaps. Doesn't have to be anything fancy or expensive.
