Just keeping you guys updated as some here asked me to. Hospice nurses just came out with new news.

I have more decline in liver and colon function due to tumors, nothing super major they are changing my drugs to stronger drugs, this will slow down my progress a bit as it means Ill sleep a little more. My wife is very excited about learning this stuff and has been dreaming about making game assets and wants to continue the rabbit project. Soon she she will start some godot learning as well- her hope is to be able to join a team in the future and leave working in a low pay factory setting. I am very happy and enjoying myself using Godot and seeing my wife gain new skills as well as seeing yall produce such awesome applications.

I appreciate all your support. Not asking for anything just updating yall.

Try to stay positive. We all come to the end of the road eventually. It's part of life. Don't know if it's appropriate, but I hope you made ready with the Lord. He's real.

LOL Im a retired preacher so no worries about that. I just try and be respectful that there mare many nations and cultures possibly on here.

Well, I'm not that old, I'm only 40, but I've made my peace. I'm not afraid of dying. I think the amount of time you have on Earth is not really important at all. The important part is that you actually lived.

And I'll try to not get too religious, but the reason I am not afraid is that you can't actually die. Your body will dissolve, and you will lose your memories, and this person you thought was you, but the real you is eternal and has always existed and can never not exist. I don't think we will ever know what comes after, and I don't think anyone can come back and tell us. But I do believe there is much more than this.

I'm glad you and your wife are enjoying game development with Godot! I've been following along with the rabbit project and it's impressive how far it's gotten. I've really enjoyed seeing the updates :smile:

There's a lot of people who hold that view. Death doesnt really bother me either save the wasted time could have spent with people I loved versus stupid things.

Hey I am actually doing better this week. :) Added probiotics in my diet and that has really helped. Also added Special K with probiotics with peaches and blueberries- pretty tasty stuff.

Also I have discovered I really have enjoyed making animation and vector art. So no major changes now and maybe as I am learning new art skills I will finally finish some projects. Getting pretty close on the Kill all Cancer game. :)

Anyway you have no idea how much better life is having work and goals, than just sitting in a room taking medicine an watching TV. I mean Im stuck in the room either way, but cancer loses much of its sting when I can stay productive. :)

Yeah, might as well make the best of your time. And you never know, you could have longer than you think.

Thats what I am hoping for! I am studying and working like maybe I could have a few titles released:) You live longer if you have better attitude. :)

Hey another good point my son graduated from home school today! He's 18 works full time in a cabinet factory and has started spending his evenings writing games with me. I think this is so cool!

BTW I have 6 kids most are in their 30's, then my 20 yo daughter is a fast food manager / animator in Kansas. My 18 year son lives with me and my wife. My 14 year old lives just outside of Ne York city and attends an artschool. Her sister's (my 2nd daughter) husband is a professor there - so she lives with them and gets free private highschool and free college by living with them. My oldest lives in Wichita with her husband and is an avid role playing gamer.

I sent my 14 year old to live with my other daughter when I learned I was terminal with cancer. She could not handle the stress. Anyway she sells art commissions online, is im theater and plays guitar and keyboard. She is debating a career in game production and is starting game production in her high school this coming semester.

I am so proud of my kids :)

Hey thanks every body for the birthday wishes! I am 52 today! My mother in law has promised to cook lasagna and garlic bread- Yum Yum. To me this dinner will be tommorrow as I will sleep from about 3am till 12pm on average. I am very happy to be alive and part of this forum. Thanks

Latest news my meds have been increased to control pain caused by what they think may be tumors having metastized in my lower spine. When your on hospice they dont actually do MRI's or CT Scans anymore, as what you have is already lethal so they just try and alleviate the pain. This is causing me some challenges as thinking clearly is becoming difficult when you are on 3 different pain killers at once.

But I am still happy, and I am still making progress and should be done with the cancer game soon. As all the base mechanics are now finished and the rest is just polishing.

Then I hope to start on my Gnome game. My wife told me one the projects she was most proud if was when She and I write and illustrated a kid's book on a family of gnomes.

Meh- had been having the pain for while- this is just what they think is causing it. Its the new painkillers that make things difficult. Other than that I should be about the same. Like I said Im happy :)
