@Sosasees Decided for now I will increase the speed on Mode B in 0.1.8 to the way you want it, but leave A intact. I've had a lot of positive feedback about the speed in Mode A so would like to keep both options.
My plans with TS is to ease the player from 'Shmup' to 'Bullet Hell' and so slower speeds would help dodging an increased amount of slower moving bullets in future 'Episodes'.
As mentioned previously my plan is to have an upgrade system so you can tailor the ship to your own liking for speed, health, regen, weapons etc. but this is planned for 0.4. I find it won't be possible to balance one mode for everyone - currently some friends testing find it way too hard, some too easy and others just right :-) So hopefully the difficulty modes and ship upgade options will help towards this. The current roadmap is as follows:
0.1.8 - 2nd horizontal Level, Mode B speedup, input mapping, and movement sticking in Linux bug.
0.1.9 - Difficulty modes, scoring system, more animations, improved HUD, flashing when enemies hit etc. One of your requests: Background Visibility and Color Palette Options. Also I'd like a 'Dark Mode' - all dark grey backgrounds. Easy, Normal and Hard Difficulty Modes.
0.2 - Overtop twin stick / 8 directions above planet arena shooting stages
0.3 - Run and Gun on planet stages
0.4 - 3rd horizontal stage, new ship upgrades, weapons, screen clearing bomb and parallax.
0.5 - Titles and cinematics, improved tutorial and improved window scaling.
