How to create a spring in 3D?

I'd like to create a RigidBody attached to a spring and have it constrained to slide along the Z axis. Godot seems to have a spring constraint for 2D but not 3D. I came across some posts saying that it might be possible to make one out of a Generic6DOFJoint node, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to use one. What's a good way to create a physics based spring for 3D?

I've heard 6DOFJoint could be used like that, but the documentation isn't great and I never got it working. Depending on what you are doing, you can also use a PinJoint. If you adjust the parameters it can kind of act like a spring, but it depends on your use case.
