Let's write a short story together again, as the previous one failed due to low members of this forum, this time I have changed, the rules because of that. It will consist of 12 paragraphs and each person, can only contribute one paragraph every 3 turns or every 30 hours. A paragraph has a maximum of 100 words. Try to keep it short, as there are only 12 paragraphs. You can have someone extend it, by writing "..." at the end, Let's start:

On the south of the Island of David, a middle aged man lived, he was a fisherman. On one day, noticed that a rock far on the right of his pier was missing and he went their, he saw a chest there. He opened it and found a black brick with bright purple marks. He touched it and the sky started to dark and everything, was going further away.

Could you rephrase that? I don't understand it.

Can you amend the rule so that you can post either after three turns or if enough time has elapsed since the latest post, e.g. 24 hours?

Meanwhile North of the Island of David, a middle aged woman lived, she was a baker. One day, she noticed that the sky was darkening to the South and she went there. She saw a man there. His hand was entering a chest. She opened her eyes and found herself spiraling between purple embers and beach foam. She tried to touch the sky but it squeezed out of her fingers.

The dark spirit within the black brick had trapped the man’s mind in an hallucination and controlled his body. As long as his hand was on the demonic object; this was his faith. However, from his perspective, it all seemed so real. The dark spirit celebrated it’s reawakening . However, the demon spotted a witness to his return and he was determined to control her body instead. The dark spirit made the man forced the woman to take the stone. His mind was free again but, hers was now trapped by the demon.

The man left her, and rushed into the forest to grab two twigs and use them like chopsticks, He rushed back and tried to grab the brick with the twigs but the twigs turned black like the brick. She was saved but he was not. A journalist came an hour later and took pictures of him. The woman had hope now but the curse of the brick must be cured quickly.

After being forced to return to it’s previous host, the demon spirit had ambitions of possessing the woman again. However the journalist got into a brawl with the demon’s host, while the woman fled. Since the journalist was overpowering his host, the demon decided to posses him by letting the host touch him with the cursed brick. Noticing the journalist was a younger athletic male, the evil spirit was satisfied with his new host. Subsequently, the demon spirit slayed his previous host with his new one and concealed the stone; his secret was safe for now again.

Dave the Coder sat still behind the comforting glow of his large computer screen. While phrases entered and left his mind that ultimately confused him, he was able to peer into a dimension that connected the minds of several people behind other glowing screens. He couldn't make out their faces or genders, but he saw a strange brick crying tears of purple. It was pulling energy from the different men and spilling into a colorless world. Squinting, he made out the image of a murderous young man. If only he could get his fingers closer to his key board he might be able to pull the direction this strange dimension was taking.

After convincing the police that he acted in self-defense, the journalist reunited with the middle aged woman. She was impressed by his apparent heroism. When she asked him where the cursed brick went, he told her it disappeared and she believed him; she didn’t know that he was under it’s curse. The dark spirit controlling the journalist had plans to get rid of the woman. However, he changed his mind. He knew no one else would believe their stories about the cursed brick. They’ve said their friendly goodbyes but, she suspected something strange.

After coming back the brick got closer to Dave and he was infected too. A portal to the world of the black brick was created but no one knew of it and they couldn't save the world. But after a few days of his disappearance, people noticed and his wife went to his computer and saw the black brick and took a photo of it. It became local news. A team of people were sent there but they all were infected by the brick.

Also, audiobellum posted while I was writing this, so I changed it a bit. Which may make some things confusing.

While taking a shower at his home, the possessed journalist left the cursed brick on his bedroom. Suddenly, he sensed the brick’s presence dwindling. After rushing back to the bedroom, the journalist notice the stone was missing; this enraged the dark spirit controlling him. Without the stone, the dark spirit Erebus, could not escape the body of his journalist host. Also, other dark spirits would escape from the stone if it were touched by other non-possessed mortals. “Only one person could have done this”, Erebus protested, “It was her!”.

I had to to give the dark spirit a name (Erebus) to keep my word count low in the future.

The man from the island, ventured deeper into the forest to find a cure for the dark spirit. He went behind a large tree and it grew smaller. The tree then started darkening. The journalist came out of the tree and slowly rushed to infect the man. The man ran, and hid under a bush. The journalist was fooled and went north. The man came out and walked north. The sun started to split and the man was scared but continued forward. Then a white bricks, fell behind him. He cured the woman and the journalist with it.

But where's the black brick? It's with the journalist's spouse, who so curiously picked it up to ask about where it came from.

The spouse knew where the journalist was... It was easy, as the darkness is very familiar with the feeling of its weakness nearby. The spouse raced to where the white brick was, armed with the black brick. The journalist's jaw dropped.
