Using editor addons

Maybe I'm just being a derp, but how do I actually get addons from the asset library to work, rather than just showing up in my FileSystem tab? I'm looking specifically at the Blender hotkeys for the viewport and Ridiculous Coding at the moment, but Dialogic and CaptainProton42's toon shader are in the wings for when I get a little further.

Gaah. Yup. Would you believe not one of the days worth of tutorials I went over actually mentions that? Everything either works with the editor on its own, or has a project file to download that's already set up.
