So I'm in a pickle. I accidentally deleted a set of nodes that I didn't want to delete, is there any way to get them back?

And you saved over it? unless you keep backups, I'm afraid you will have to recreate the hierarchy, but given that you just deleted the nodes in scenetree then the good news is any scripts should still exist in the file system so not all should be lost.

But I strongly recommend learning to keep backups for important projects.

I use git on every project, religiously, after losing a lot of data through my own foolishness. I try to force myself to commit every couple of hours, just in case. At worst, I have a silly commit title.
