Autotile issue

Hello everyone,

I have an issue when i setup the autotile system. Why some cells doesn't change according to my set up ?

Where i set the bitmask, is it for praticable or un-praticable ground ? Because i think it's depend of the situation when i see some tutorials.

you have double height autotile. And you must setup your autotile setting accroding to that: if you cell size 16x16 1. set subtile size to 16x32 2. set tex offset -8 and your autotile doesnt fit to 3x3 bitmask.

Hello boruok,

My texture is for tiles of 32 x 32.

So if i understand, i must set-up my subtile size 3/4 of my texture, so 32 x 56, correct ? And for the tex offset, still y = -8 ?

But, to assign the colors you show, there are no keys explained in the tutorial or maybe it's for the example ?

and your autotile doesnt fit to 3x3 bitmask.

Can you explain, please ?

When you see an image, how can you know what is a 3x 3 and what isn't ?

anyway, i attached customized project, based on your texture, hopefully it will give you idea how it works.

Who speak about RPG Maker ? Why should I waste my time on Godot to take a texture from RPG Maker, it is a nonsense. Can you tell me what allow you to think it's from RPG Maker ?

I'm sorry but the links and the customized project you give me aren't the point i speak about.

What i ask you, is why the second corner (where you can see red circles in the first post) doesn't appear when the autotile works.

I'm agreed, in 3 x 3 (minimal), we need absolutely to set the center bit on, but it still doesn't works.

Who knows, texture looks like straight from RPGmaker Can you tell me what allow you to think it's from RPG Maker ? The layout, tileset doesn't countain flipped tiles (along x) And missing some corner tiles.

I drawn it myself, and i can prove it.

It's possible i'm inspired by some screens but i did not have look if what i saw was from RPG Maker. It is a good or bad thing what i drawn let you think it's from RPG Maker ?

Yes, almost ! Where you see red circles, it should be the second corner, the one you can see it's visually connected with the other corner.

Where you see black circle, it should be the rounded corner, this is the issue i'm unable to solve.

The orange circle, is excatly the exemple of the zone where it must be sloped.

@TwistedMind dang this hard, i'll take closer look at day off. I think this can be achieved with ignore bitmask (when you hold ctrl and paint bitmask)
