There are people pretending to be safetly health inspectors. They get inside your house and then lock you out of it. After this is done they steal the house.

We have had numerous attacks of people trying to steal our house. There is a housing crisis in America!

Hmm. There must be some legal issue that they can't be immediately ejected. I know my brother rented out his house to these people and they absolutely trashed it and then left without forwarding address. He had to declare bankruptcy.

Call po-po is right. If you don't actively do something then you can actually legally lose the rights to the place(over a fairly long stretch of time tho).

Squatter's rights only applies if someone has lived in a place for a long period of time uncontested. I can't remember the exact number, it might be 6 months or a year (in some places of the US). If someone just breaks into your house, they have no rights and are intruders.
