Honestly, the ones with screens are not needed. They are fun, and may be good if you are a traditional artist. But I find them actually harder to work with, because your hand obscures the screen. If you are more used to using a computer or mouse, the regular tablets are actually easier. Though for a professional artist, I can see why they would use the screen, it is just not necessary when starting out.
