Totally agree, I just felt the existence of an optional security setting was a bit strong to compare to corporal punishment when judging Windows, when there are plenty of other quirks that are more intrinsic to it's behavior/harder to resolve.
Of all of them, my main beef is just the fact you're never truly a super user. The fact you can be an admin and still not be able to claim ownership/alter permissions of a file under certain conditions is to this day irritating.
Most of the rest of the quirks are just things I am grudgingly willing to work around to have first party driver/business app availability without having to reboot.
Anyway, essentially I 'prefer' Japanese food, but I work with others who only eat McDonalds so settle for the Katsu Burger meal lol.
