The documentation has been updated (not fully, but a lot of stuff is there). However, the tutorials have not been updated, so you kind of have to search through the manual pages and figure some stuff out. https://docs.godotengine.org/en/latest/
This guy is porting his project and I think it's the same guy I based my player on too :3 He also gives good summery of some code changes
