Im JB Skaggs wife and I wanted to show my progress on Blender. I've played with it before over a decade ago but its seems to be more intuitive now so I've learned a lot more. Still need to figure out the camera and angles.
Looks like a good start, needs sprinkles and a plate next?
I also recommend checking out blenderartists.org it a large dedicated forum community with a lot of creative individuals willing to help and also a great pool of artwork to check out.
Hi and welcome wife! I look forward to your work !
Welcome to the forums! Duplicate that donut a few dozen times then get them far away from me! It looks real tho- great job!
Looks great, but definitely needs some sprinkles of the rainbow variety.
Welcome to the forum and happy new year!
Im working on the sprinkles now, learning about nodes and such
For an extra challenge, animate the sprinkles so they sparkle.
Switched out tutorials for a pow poly character creation. I'm still learning a lot even with about an hour a day after work. Enjoying it.
Makes me hungry. :)
I hate to be that guy but I think sprinkles are supposed to be rainbow-y :p

I tried to forbid any sprinkles as I hate them in real life.
I don't think I ever ate a sprinkle. Don't know how they taste. They do look good on CG donuts though.
As someone who has eaten things with sprinkles I can confirm that they look better than they taste.
Oh, I used to love sprinkles (though I can't eat sugar anymore). Back when I was younger, I would buy a whole bottle of rainbow sprinkles from the store, but no ice cream. I would just take shots of the sprinkles from the bottle, they were so good.

Well that explains a lot, ;)
Sprinkles are just hard cake frosting I think.
