For me it was the original Mirror's Edge. The game came out like 12 years ago, and I played it the other day in 4K and it still looks better than most games today. The art direction, the use of colors, and the game itself are timeless. Because they didn't chase photo-realism.

I loved Rage 2 cause they went with a colorful palette. Again, games can have good graphics and not look real.

Far Cry New Dawn. Bold art style.

Prince of Persia (2008) was an amazing game. They went with an advanced cel shader, 14 years later it's still looks great. This is how you achieve timelessness. I think Call of Duty 4 came out that same year and looks like junk now.

Life is Strange. One of the best games of all time. Also a more cartoon look but with rendered 3D.

State of Mind, amazing game that no one has heard of. Not sure how to explain it without giving away the plot. But it deals with similar themes as The Matrix, meaning AI and robots, the idea of self and reality, etc.

This game Virginia, which is told with no text or dialog. Really original and great art style.

Matter, which is this audio visual experience.
