ok ive posted a feature request for the particle system. dont know if they will pick it up seriously

so im trying out godot 4 alpha

i cant find the option to allign the particle to an arbitrary axis, wich is an option that should be available as was mentioned

While Godot 4.0 has support for particle trails, it does not allow you to align a billboard to an arbitrary axis without using a custom shader. See also https://github.com/godotengine/godot-proposals/issues/3968.

this is a feature in the particle system that is much needed imo
