In one case, the heavy object was a 750kg gun safe that's bolted to concrete. (Not mine.) The guy that put it in said that you'd have to demolish the house to remove it. If it wasn't so full, it would make an excellent tornado shelter. :)
Then I grew up and realised that skill works in the real world too.
I love to have multiple options. On the other hand, I caught my brother moving his nine boxes of antique comic books the other day, and groaning over the weight. I pointed out that I'd bought the cd-roms marvel published, of 40 years of their most-loved titles, and most of his antiques were probably on them. (He was a marvel fan, like me.) I can carry (and read) all of them on my phone. It's not the same for him. I just shrugged.
