Feature Request? Favoriting (Liking) Assets from the Asset Library

I think it would be useful to have a favorites tab while browsing the AssetLib. Right now it feels a bit chaotic and disorganized. I think it would help provide some structure.

That would be nice. Still, unless a volunteer did it I wouldn't make that a high priority for the devoted few doing the low level highly technical and much needed work.

if this feature ever gets made, a folder structure like with Web Browser Bookmarks would be really useful

I do not use the asset library that much, but I can see how this would be helpful, especially as the asset library grows. I would highly suggest making a feature request on the Godot Proposal Repository, if a similar feature request does not already exist, as then it can be tracked and potentially worked on in the future :smile:

This was already proposed in https://github.com/godotengine/godot-proposals/issues/142, albeit in a much more complex way.

A simple local system to track favorites shouldn't be too difficult to implement, but it will require some changes to the asset library backend to allow returning all assets that match specific IDs (which would be stored in the editor settings).
