About the "Expand Bottom Panel" shortcut

The shortcut for "Expand Bottom Panel" is SHIFT+F12, but it does not expand when I press SHIFT+F12. Why doesn't it expand?

Also, what I want most is the "Close Expand Bottom Panelshortcut", but I can't find it. Is there a better way to easily close the panel after a run?

Shift+F12 works for me (Ubuntu). To close the output, click the output text on the very bottom.

Is it possible that your operating system overrides the Shift+F12 mapping?

Thanks for the response, my OS is Windows 10. SHIFT+F12 is doing its job in software other than Godot, so it is unlikely to have been overwritten. The Godot shortcut had SHIFT+F12 registered as expanded. This is the initial state. I am looking for a way to close the panel without using the mouse.

Shift+F12 works on Windows. But it only expands an open panel. It does not show/hide the panel, and will do nothing if the panel is currently hidden. In terms of closing it, I don't see a hotkey, but you can have it automatically close when stopping a play session. Just look in Editor Settings -> Output -> Close on Stop.

I see. I was mistaken. I didn't think that "expansion = maximization". To "View → Expand", I used SHIFT+F12 and it worked fine.

"Close Output on Stop" is exactly what I was looking for.
