WebGL will not be dead. Not sure where you read that. They seem to be dropping GLES2 (or at least for 3D) so that might affect WebGL1, but WebGL2 is well supported these days and the GLES3 back-end should be able to support that. I'm trying to find out if Godot 4.0 will support WebGL at launch. From looking through the (long) GitHub threads, it appears it might be Vulkan only at release, but I'm fairly confident that WebGL will be supported at some point soon (if not already). So I don't think there is anything to worry about.
