If We Want To Backup Our Godot Project Which Files/Folders Should We Include?

Hi,

Our Godot project folder is over 1GB. If we want to backup the project, which files/folders should we include? Let us know, thanks!

I'm not sure if it's the best, but the files I ignore in GitHub are:

the.import folder
export.cfg
export_presets.cfg
the .mono folder
the .vs folder (if using visual studio code)

And then some projects have other folders ignored depending on what they use, like addons and the like.

It's likely created by the Custom builds for Android system.

I believe you should be able to ignore the android/ folder without any issues.

It's probably not necessary, but if you want to know for sure what you can do is make a backup, then delete the folder and see if it breaks anything. That said, make a backup first so you don't lose anything if you try this!

1 GB does not seem like a lot, and I don’t see any reason to spend time on figuring out a good answer to this question, I keep my entire project on my OneDrive cloud. I know it costs money but OneDrive has saved me so much time the last few years it’s been worth it several times over.
