Why My aab File is bigger than apk file?

From my understanding, aab is used to reduce the size of the game and preferred option for the play store.

The problem is when I check the size of apk and aab files, the apk is smaller than aab.

Did I do something wrong here?

I think I found my answer.

TL;DR:

Apk file will be build using Dynamic delivery which will combine only necessary resources and will ensure that the build installed on a particular design is optimized. There is no mention that bundle size is smaller, but it ensures that download size for end-user will be less.

So I think it is normal for it to be big. Though, I should probably ask this on Google. They might some answers.
