16x16 autotiles

Hello. I'm new around here. I was looking through Godot's documentation on tilesets, and I noticed that most of the default autotile templates are based on 64x64 cells.

Can I create new templates? If so, what's the format? If not, can I request that the developers add 32x32 and 16x16 templates? Thanks for your help.

You can probably create 16×16 autotile templates yourself by downsizing the existing templates in an image editor. I don't think we should provide several templates for different tile sizes, as this makes them harder to update in the long run.

There is no notion of autotile templates in Godot. It's just an image that you can drop in your project folder then modify to add proper art on top of it.
