Unity Scene hierarchy vs godot ?

I'm thinking editing the code src of godot to make the scene hierarchy like unity, no more Node, Spatial sh********@#{#~@ù!{

so what do you think ? why godot complicated it so much ? what's wrong ?

At the core both are using a traditional hierarchy, it's not that different. With Godot you have Nodes (which are types of Objects) but Unity uses GameObjects for almost everything. You shouldn't expect all programs to work the same. Godot should be it's own thing, not a cheap rip-off of Unity. In any case, I find Godot to be much easier for getting started than other engines. Not sure what the confusion is.

godot is horrible, unity is easy, but paying, I have spoken, the only thing that keeps me here is that godot is open src

not the same, when you add a rigidbody, inside a collider, inside a mesh, what is this(No swearing, please) also the scripting noway, this is all confusing, heard of flax engine and it's open src too, godot team should take note, what's wrong with them

actually solving the matrix because the collider is inside the rigidbody make the processing more slower, I think the team was drunk when they was coding Godot don't you agree ?

@epicspaces - while you are entitled to your own opinion, please keep it civil. Implying that the Godot developers were "drunk" when making the engine is not very mindful of the hard work that hundreds of contributors have put into Godot. As a reminder, please read rule 6.

If you do not like Godot, that is fine, you do not have to use it or anything, but please respect the time, energy, and effort that went into it. Its fine to discuss what you dislike with Godot, including design decisions, bugs, quirks, etc, but keep it civil.

well I'm civil, I'm criticizing, because flax engine just came out and has a lot of potential already, while Godot, years, my god years, and no improvement at all, at this rate no comment, like if nobody wants to do the first step, as I said I'm criticizing. I respect the forum rules, I didn't break any, what do you expect from me, to tell you that Godot is pretty ?

Noted, but I would like to point out the following quotes, bold added for emphasis, are not civil and doesn’t do anything to further your argument/criticism. This could be considered a violation of rule 6, which says to be polite and respect others. Here are the quotes:

While one could argue the first is an expression, the second is needlessly impolite. As I mentioned in my previous post, you can have whatever opinion you want, but you should be respectful of the time, energy, and effort that went into it.

Flax engine does have potential but I think its unfair to say that Godot has no improvement at all. Godot 3 was a huge step up from Godot 2. Godot 4 (coming soon) will be another huge step up. I’m not sure what you perceive as improvement, but having used Godot for 4+ years, I can say it has improved over time.

Also, I’d like to point out you are on the Godot community forums, so others will likely have different opinions given this is a forum specifically around the Godot game engine.

You did break forum rules for swearing/cursing (rule 8), and I mentioned you should look at rule 6, which says to be polite and respectful of others (which includes Godot team/contributors). I didn’t say you broke rule 6, but I warned you to look at it because your wording isn’t very respectful of the Godot contributors who have made Godot possible.

Additionally, I already mentioned this but I feel I should repeat it: You are entitled to your own opinion, but you need to follow forum rules when expressing that opinion. I am by no means saying you have to say “Godot is pretty” or have a positive opinion of Godot, you can have whatever opinion you want, but I am saying to follow the rules and be respectful.

I think the team was drunk when they was coding Godot, I can say it as much as I want, it's not impolite, (it's funny) :) and doesn't hurt anyone, and I don't see any disrespect in it, it's a way of expression, did people here lost their sense of humor.

The whole tone comes off as rude and disrespectful. There are lots of issues with Godot, but it's an open-source project and people are volunteering their time to improve it. I doubt it will match Unity or Unreal in the near future, only because those companies have hundreds of engineers working fulltime. So if you don't like Godot, then that's fine. Use another engine you are more comfortable with, they all have their pros and cons.

nope, flax engine has few engineers working lesstime, it didn't took that much, to match Unity or Unreal or whatever, he even can beat them, and that's open src, of course I'll be rude.
