Game not showing up (Windows 10)

Hi there,

this is my very first attempt with the Godot 3.2.1 engine and I directly ran into problems.

I tried the "my first game" turorial and when I clicked "run" I did not get an error message, but the game window did not show up.

I could find it in the Windows taskbar, but I couldn't bring it up.

I have also tried it with an empty game where the result is exactly the same.

Does anyone have an idea?

You and I both use the same operating system, but I never had that problem before. :/ Have you tried rebooting your PC?

Does the console show anything? Maybe not an error message, but are there warnings or anything else that may indicate something going wrong? Additionally, how long have you waited after hitting the "run" button? Godot does not run instantly, and I have noticed that sometimes it might take a minute or two to boot up.

Hey,

thanks a lot for the quick response.

Both did not help, but I found the reason for this was the "Allow Hidpi" setting in the preferences. With this option checked the game window appears in the center of my screen.

Strange, maybe something with high DPI screens is causing the issue then? I dunno, quite strange, but I'm glad that you were able to at least get the game window to appear!
