Materials Not working properly.

In a couple of projects that I have tried to use materials. If more that one mesh is on screen, all the materials turn to black. This happens in the scene view and in the game. I really want to make a game without just the default material. Please help me.

For starters you might want to try adding a light to the scene.

I don't think that's it. The environment lighting should've given it some colour, unless explicitly set not to, which doesn't look like the case.

There is no environment in that scene either.

Are you sure? Because there's colour in the background of both screenshots.

There is only the default_env resource in the file browser. Perhaps there's something up with that?

edit: also the platform node is an instanced scene, maybe there is an environment node in there, but we can't see the settings of it in the screenshots.
