Tween overflow

Hello I'm actually having some struggles with a tween involved into the progression of an exp bar.

It works properly whenever the player gets exp and do not level up, it seems he can get many exp incomes in a very short amount of time and the bar still progress

But, when he levels up it seems that the animation takes too long to reset and if ever he gets a new exp amount in a short window of time, the signals (because the tween update comes from a signal) seems to be ignored by the UI and so the player can have like 50% of his exp needed to level up while the bar is still at something like a 20% progress

I'm really sorry if its not the first topic about this issue, but when i search for "tween" into the forum, every topic with a "between" word in it is counted as a result so i can find what i'm looking for

Edit : the bar doesnt progress even if the character doesnt level up, if the exp income comes to quickly.

To resume : the character can get as many exp incomes as i want in the shorter amount of time my processor would allow me, but the tweens cant get it because they have a "long" duration

Is it possible to queue tweens ?

I see no reason why you couldn't queue the level ups, so to speak.

Something along the lines of(just pseudo code):

var levels_gained 

func _process(delta):
    progress_level(levels_gained)

func progress_level(value)
    if value > 0:
        #do all the things related to leveling up
        value -= 1
    else:
        return

edit: you'd likely want to use a timer instead of calling it in the process tho. Not sure why i wrote it that way.

Well the issue was coming from the timer itself, your code inspired me thanks, but it will not be efficient enough in my opinion. So i decided not to use a tween to animate the progress on the exp bar, i just made it rise manually with rough code and now it can handle as many exp or leveling incomes as i want in any window of time

(tested it with a 100 iterations loop of big exp incomes, the result was immediate, and thats everything i'm looking for ! =) )
