Using the flyweight model?

How do you guys recommend using the flyweight model in Godot? Example: You're spawning thousands of identical objects and don't want to duplicate var damage = 5 var description = "A big long string" ... in memory thousands of times.

In C++ I'd use static vars. In Godot... singletons and a quirky database? It'd sure be nicer if I could set this stuff directly from the node. Thoughts?

I think I may have answered my own question - using const, at least from what the memory profiler is telling me. Still curious to hear others' thoughts.

EDIT: The only real problem I perceive with that: Tweaking base stats on-the-fly for balance testing. Suppose you could re-load the script but that sounds painful.
