Also GDScript is one of the easiest languages to learn. I think I have used at least 10 or 15 different languages over the years, and GDScript is simple and manageable to learn if you put in the effort.
I do agree that the documentation can be daunting at first (there is a lot of information on there) but they do have several tutorials in there that might help you. But I understand if you like videos better.
