Hello everyone. I've been taking my time to learn different game engines to decide for myself which I enjoy using most. As someone with no programming knowledge apart from a little javascript, I started with LUA based engines, like love2d, Defold and Gideros. Now that I know a little LUA I figure I'll pick up GDScript fairly quickly too so I wanted to learn to use Godot as well. I want to also be able extend on that and pick up one of the faster performing GDNative languages for more performance intensive things like procedural generation. I love learning new things, so I'm okay with learning a new language for fun. Both D and Nim looked interesting. From what I've read online, Nim is more python like, D has more features but is more C like. To me, as someone who only knows LUA and JavaScript, doesnt really tell me much.
Between the GDNative languages, which would you recommend for tasks where GDScript doesnt cut it and why?
I'm also curious if any of these GDNative languages are better integrated or supported in particular.
