Hi Calinou
And many thanks : You confirm what I suspected by reading milestone and Q&A topics.
Not wanting to learn at the last time, I changed my views about building environments on Blender and started to think procedural.
And I confirm also the usefull and the time saved by using shaders, so procedural textures (a lot of fun by the way ), with some good tuts , nothing impossible and as I experienced making cubemaps and skyboxes , by the past, this new way for me is far more accurate than using pictures, well, maybe because I’m terrible at drawing.
This said, I experimented it with Blender only, not yet with Godot
(any clue about a first stable release date? …. well, I know,:When it’ll be ready.)
And about HD/HDRI panoramas, yet to experiment.
Just other little noob questions please ?
Are procedural environments more « resources hungry » than images ?
And maybe I misunderstood, but I believe I have read somewhere that it will be possible to adjust precisely the rendering parameters on Godot ? True ?
If yes, a good balance between both should give the best results without freezing screens.
Please, stop me if I’m totally wrong...
